InterviewGo ("we", "us", or "our") is an independent interview-preparation and job-discovery platform available through our app and website. We help users discover interview questions, community experiences, job opportunities, and technical learning resources. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we handle publicly available and third-party information, and the choices available to you.

Content notice: InterviewGo includes interview questions, company information, job listings, salary information, and other professional information from public and third-party sources, community contributions, and user submissions. We may independently summarize, structure, categorize, standardize, or rewrite publicly available job information for presentation on InterviewGo. We do not guarantee that third-party information is complete, current, or error-free. See the Disclaimer and Copyright & Removal sections for more details.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Account information: Email address, display name, username, and password (stored in encrypted/hashed form)
Profile information: Company or college name, job designation, and optional avatar
User content: Interview experiences, round details, questions, answers, notes, votes, bookmarks, and feed posts
Support messages: Information you send when contacting us

Information Collected Automatically

Authentication data: Sign-in timestamps and session tokens managed by our backend provider
Push notification tokens: Device tokens used to deliver notifications you opt into (via Firebase Cloud Messaging)
Crash diagnostics: Anonymous crash reports to help fix app stability issues (via Firebase Crashlytics)
Subscription status: Premium plan status and purchase references processed through Google Play
Product usage events: When you use the app, we log which features and screens you interact with (for example, opening a tab, sharing a prep pack, or viewing a question). This is stored on our own backend (Supabase), not sold to advertisers. Each event includes a short feature name (such as screen_home or share_question), an optional coarse metadata field (such as a content ID or question count—not your email or free-text answers), your platform (android / ios), a random install identifier stored on your device, and—if you are signed in—your account ID. We use this only to understand which parts of the app are used most and to improve the product.
Public and third-party professional information: We may collect publicly available job-related and professional information from public webpages, employer career pages, public professional posts, community sources, and other third-party sources. This may include job titles, company names, locations, experience requirements, skills, compensation information, work arrangements, application links, and recruiter or employer contact details where publicly available. We may also retain internal source references and verification dates so that we can review, update, or remove listings. We do not need to display those internal source references publicly.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising networks or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics for Firebase). Product usage is measured with first-party events on our infrastructure only.

3. User-Generated Content

Important: Experiences, questions, comments, and other content you post may be visible to other users. Do not share confidential employer information, proprietary code, trade secrets, or NDA-protected details.

Anonymous posts: Your name may be hidden from other users, but we retain identity internally for moderation and abuse prevention
Public profiles: Username, company, designation, and shared experiences may be visible depending on your settings and content choices
Follows and feed: Following activity and feed interactions are stored to personalize your experience

4. Third-Party & Aggregated Content

InterviewGo may display information that does not originate directly from you, including:

Interview questions and interview experiences from public and community sources
Job titles, company information, locations, experience requirements, skills, salary information, work arrangements, and application details from public or third-party sources
Company names, logos, and related identifiers used only to identify the relevant organization

InterviewGo is an independent platform. We may select, summarize, standardize, categorize, organize, and rewrite information to create a consistent user experience. We do not claim ownership of third-party company names, trademarks, logos, or underlying factual job information.

Where appropriate, we may keep internal source references and verification information for operational purposes, including checking freshness, responding to correction or removal requests, and maintaining listing quality. These internal records are not necessarily displayed to users.

Third-party links may take you to websites with their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control those external services.

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the app and when required by law.

Supabase: Authentication, database, and backend infrastructure
Google Firebase: Push notifications and crash reporting
Google Play: In-app subscription billing and payment processing

6. Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard methods
Access to production systems is limited on a need-to-know basis

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Correction: Update profile details in the app
Deletion: Request account and data deletion
Notifications: Manage push notification preferences in app settings
Opt-out: Disable notifications or delete your account at any time

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA (California), or similar laws. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Data Retention

Account and profile data: Until you delete your account
User-generated content: Until you delete it or your account is removed
Push tokens and notification preferences: Until you disable notifications or delete your account
Crash logs: Retained according to Firebase Crashlytics default retention periods
Product usage events: Retained in aggregated form for product analytics; when you delete your account, events are disassociated from your account (your user ID is removed) but anonymous event rows may be kept for statistical purposes

9. Children's Privacy

InterviewGo is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

📜 Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using InterviewGo, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About InterviewGo

InterviewGo is an educational and community platform for Android interview preparation. It provides curated questions, user-shared interview experiences, company discovery, job browsing, bookmarks, and optional Premium features. InterviewGo is not a recruitment agency, employer, or official representative of any company listed in the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old
You must provide accurate account information
You must not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law

3. Account Responsibilities

Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
You are responsible for all activity under your account
Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or abuse the platform
Provide truthful profile information (name, username, company/college, designation)

Warning: Fake accounts, impersonation, spam, or deliberately misleading content may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal.

4. User Content License

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content on InterviewGo, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for operating, promoting, and improving the service.

You must have the right to share any content you submit
Do not post copyrighted material, proprietary interview questions, or confidential employer information without permission
We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law

5. Prohibited Conduct

Posting false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful content
Sharing trade secrets, internal documents, or NDA-protected information
Harassment, hate speech, spam, or unauthorized advertising
Attempting to scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass access controls of the InterviewGo service
Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interfere with or abuse the InterviewGo service without permission
Interfering with app security or other users' experience

6. Premium Subscriptions

Premium features are billed through Google Play
Free users may have limited access (for example, browsing only the first few companies or jobs in some sections)
Refunds and cancellations are handled according to Google Play policies
We may change Premium features or pricing with reasonable notice where required

7. Third-Party Content & Job Listings

Job listings, salary figures, interview questions, and company information may come from public sources, community contributions, or third-party websites. We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of this information.

Job availability, compensation, and requirements may change without notice
Applying for jobs may redirect you to external websites with their own terms
We are not responsible for hiring decisions, interview outcomes, or employment offers
Salary ranges shown in job listings are indicative only and not offers of employment

8. Intellectual Property

The InterviewGo name, branding, website/app design, original software, original editorial descriptions, categorization, and original database organization are owned by InterviewGo to the extent permitted by law.
Company names, logos, trademarks, and other third-party identifiers remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes.
Underlying job facts and other factual information may originate from public or third-party sources. InterviewGo does not claim ownership of those underlying facts.
InterviewGo may create original summaries, formatting, categorization, normalization, and other editorial material around third-party factual information.
User-submitted material remains subject to the terms of the user-content license described above.

9. Disclaimers

InterviewGo is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis for educational and informational purposes only. We make no warranties about accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

User experiences reflect individual opinions and may not represent current interview processes
Curated questions may become outdated as technology and hiring practices evolve
We are not affiliated with Google, Amazon, Microsoft, or any other company mentioned unless explicitly stated

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InterviewGo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or missed employment opportunities arising from use of the app. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app or delete your account at any time
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
Upon termination, your right to use the app ends, and we may delete associated data except where retention is required by law

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

6. Salary & Job Information

Salary ranges and job details are displayed for informational purposes only. They are not job offers, compensation guarantees, or official employer disclosures. Actual pay and benefits vary by role, location, experience, and company policy.

7. Changes & Corrections
